Every year ASSCM plans to host a variety of social events across North Alabama.
Manufacturing Dreams is our flagship annual fundraiser where we invite our membership at attend a concert style event with dinner, live music, entertainment, guest speakers, and we award our scholarship recipients. Lunch and Learns, will be in various venues across North Alabama where we provide a light lunch and a guest speaker from various industries and professional networks. Lunch and Learns will sometimes be online depending on speaker availability to travel in person. Our Annual Career Fair, will be held once to twice a year depending on funding. We will host many companies throughout the State of Alabama in SMaRT Industries that are looking to recruit you. This will be a business formal event with on the spot interviews and a light lunch provided.
At ASSCM we believe a healthy body is the key to a healthy mind, so we are planning two special annual events that promote healthy lifestyle for mental clarity with our Walk-a-Chain and Golf Tournament for men and women teams. Later in the year, we really spice things up with a Halloween Career Party, Thanksgiving Away from Home and Christmas at NASA. Be prepared to be spooked by Doctors, enjoy a hardy Thanksgiving meal with beautiful city views, and a Christmas party that brings everyone together in a season of giving and family tradition. We will then end our year with our Annual Retreat at a choice hotel venue that’s exclusive to the ASSCM membership. Be prepared for a two-night stay that includes top guest speakers from across the world; breakfast, lunch and dinner; networking, social time, live entertainment and an overview of our year and how things went, improvements, testimonials, corporate employee awards, volunteer and mentor awards, and Donor recognition.
